Hawaii has many attractions to offer. The state and each island has a history all its own. For people who are interested in science and geology these islands are some of the best places to visit. Tourists come to marvel at the volcanic islands and there are also a few national parks that people can visit and walk on the earth made of volcanoes. Diamond Head contains one of the most famous and largest volcanic craters that have been photographed by many people. There is even a volcano tour on the Big Island.

There are also tremendous waterfalls located on the different islands as well. From time to time the picturesque waterfalls are showcased on television shows and movies the island of Kauai contains one of the most beautiful waterfalls in one of the rainiest spots. Hana Highway on this island of Maui contains beautiful waterfalls and lush rainforests for travelers to marvel at. People like to visit these locations and go cliff diving off of the different rock forms into the clear blue water. Another tourist attraction is the beautiful beaches of the different islands. Tourists can visit these beaches to relax, or they can also marvel at the wonder of the sea by snorkeling in the beautiful coral reefs.

Another huge attraction to Hawaii is its surfing. This state has a large surfing culture and there are many surfing competitions that take place in the state each year. On most of the larger islands at the larger resorts surfing lessons are offered to travelers. Depending on the conditions and time of year there may be different places where surfing is ideal, but on the island of Oahu there are several beaches and each has a unique surfing experience. Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head are also known for their beaches and great surfing conditions. Kauai and Tunnels Beach also has some exemplary surfing.

Another attraction that is very famous in Hawaii is its luau’s. Tourists gather around sunset to eat traditional Hawaiian fare of roast pig, fruit, tropical drinks, and many other types of foods. During the luau people will eat and watch the local entertainment. Local entertainment consists of traditional music, hula girls, and men twirling fire.

These are just a few of the attractions that can be seen by visitors visiting the different islands. Because there are so many Hawaiian Islands to visit it is important to plan a vacation and figure out what destinations you would like to visit, and possibly add in a little bit of history of the islands and education. One place that many people like to visit is Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu. Many travelers pay their respects to fallen soldiers at this site.
